At the Animal Care Center of Somerset we make every effort to provide you and your pet with the same love and tender care that we would give to our own loved ones. We understand that your pet is a member of your family, and with that in mind, we work every day to provide the best health care available.

Routine Health Care:  Yearly exams will help to keep your pet in top physical health.  Annual vaccinations are required for all pets along with strong recommendations for routine eye exams, heartworm and internal parasite testing in dogs and FeLV/FIV and internal parasite testing in cats. We also offer an extensive line of flea and tick control along with heartworm prevention to keep your pets healthy and comfortable.

Our in house laboratory offers a unique environment for diagnostic procedures including serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing.  We also have x-ray equipment that aids in the speedy diagnosis and treatment of many health problems related to animals. In house pharmaceuticals allow us to treat you pet with speed and accuracy, allowing our doctors better control over the type of medicines your pet is taking. 

Surgery:  We are pleased to announce the addition of an Ellman Radiosurgery unit to our current surgical site equipment.  The radiosurgery unit allows us to cut tissue using high frequency radio waves instead of the standard scapel blade.  The benefits of this method include reduction or elimination of bleeding, reduction in post-operative pain, reduction in scar tissue resulting in virtually scar free healing and the ability to produce a smooth cut without placing pressure on the tissue thus causing less tissue trauma.  This unit is used in most surgeries including spays and neutors, cystotomies, mass removals, cruciate ligament repairs and cherry eye removals. 

Routine Dental Care:  We urge our clients to care for the dental needs of their pets. Routine cleanings are a must when it comes to your pets general well being and good health.  Here at the clinic we offer a wide variety of dental procedures and products to aid in this matter including teeth cleaning and polishing, extractions, oral surgeries and a line of dental products for daily brushing.

Boarding:  We offer a safe, air conditioned, clean environment for your pet's stay with us. Many of our clients consider us a home away from home for their pets. Whether we are just watching your pet for the day or keeping him/her for an extended period, we strive to make your pet's stay as stress free and home like as possible including feeding any special diets, monitoring and despensing medications and treating any illnesses that need addressing. 

Grooming:  Here at the clinic we routinely bathe our clients cats and dogs.  We also dip for flea and tick control and offer services such as dematting, shearing, sedated total shears, pedicures and anal gland expression.
